Got a wee 4x4 today

Needs a few bits for mot
exhaust welded
Front wishbones
2 tyres ( but i bought an old tyre change machine and balancer) so will need to play with that
Front drive shaft
Front brake pipe

After
Mot it needs
Replace seats
Front wings

My main question is about the sriveshaft. I think they are different from the fwd and my near side is clicking as i turn . Does anyone know if i can change the full cv joints from a fwd?

I don't know what the differences are

The 1.2 4x4 is different to the 1.3 4x4

Both are unique and not the same as a standard active/dynamic

One of the differences will be hub splines for cars with vented discs as they are different

Over 50 percent sure the joints at the gearbox is also different, they use different grease, whether a stand one fits, I don't know

Thanks for the reply, i have a standard car im breaking so i can measure and see whats the same or not.

Its a shame that a car is worth more stripped for parts than complete and roadworrhy

The whole rear subframe and suspension is unique to the 4x4.

Before you spend any money or invest any time, check the tubular rear subframe for corrosion. Once this has corroded to the point where the car would not pass an MOT, the car is scrap, since replacement rear frames are somewhere between astronomically expensive and totally unobtainable.

It's a known weakness; there are a few horror pictures on this forum.
