Hello Everybody,
Central locking problem on a 2005 Ducato 2.8JTD as follows.

Only 2 front doors
Both closing properly (no door open light indicating and no courtesy light on)

If I try to lock via Clifford alarm system, both central locking solenoids pull down to lock, but then immediately release ! The Alarm does arm.

If I try to lock Manually with the key, in either the Driver or Passenger Door, the same thing happens.

I can only lock manually by keeping the key turned in each lock until the central locking solenoid has released and then it will stay locked.

Any body got any ideas on this one ?
Just saw a post that the Lock/Unlock Button on the key may be stuck in.
Will check this out this evening when I get home.

Thanks everybody

Hello All,

checked last evening, I do not have a lock button on the key for the van.
I only got one key when I purchased it some years ago.
Maybe this key is the spare and the original had a button.
How can I check if the van has remote central locking or just central locking,
is there a unit somewhere I can check for.

Thanks
Bitzer

The central locking and electric windows are controlled by a brown unit, from memory in rhd you have to remove the glovebox and left lower dash to access it. Don't know if there are different part for remote / non-remote central locking, all the ones I've seen are remote.
