Technical 2004 JTD 2.8 - Headlights and rear fog lights not working HELP

Hi! Hope anybody can help with a tip!
Driving through Europe. In Spain we got issues where the lights turned off. Garage check and said the steering beam needs to be replaced. We drove further and in Portugal they suddenly worked! The rear fog lights too... button shows a little light when you turn it on.
After washing the windows the lights got off again! It looks more like a cable not properly but has anybody an idea where to check/start?
Maybe its also some connector not working fine...

Hi,

Welcome. Connector B behind the steering wheel is a common point, but there is also the "Switch Control Pane,l H090". I think that this is buried in the dashboard.

Thanks! Any idea how I can get there to check it? Hope just some screws...

Four x Pozidrive No.2 headed screws in lower cover. As an aid to centering screwdriver, and engaging screw head, slip a short piece of suitable thick walled PVC tubing, over the end of the screwdriver shaft.

Apologies for commenting on an old post, but I have the same problem now and I was wondering if you found a solution? I followed the diagrams to indeed h090, I suspect that thing to be the issue.
