General 2004 ducato rust on roof.

Would appreciate help with accessing the roof of the van to deal with rust. I have examined it from a ladder but this doesn't seem easy or practical. Could I place a plank across the two open rear doors? Thank you.

You will bend the hinges and tear them out of the door , Seval rear doors are thin and the mounts tear and crack , thats why you have to wary of vans with mounted ladders on the rear ...!!!!!

I think the roof seams are sealed with silicone then painted over? Eventually the silicone cracks and water pools in the crack rusting out the roof starting at the seams.

That is what I observed in preloved vehicles.

Is that where your rust is?
