General 2004 2.0JTD Wheel bearings (Replacement)

Hi Folks,

My camper van has developed a noise at the front end that I suspect is coming from the front wheel bearings .The van has only done 15,000 miles, but I assume that this could be caused by lack of use. Any advice as to procedure to replace them ?

Would be unusual to have bearing go at that age unless you've been driving through floods. If it's been idle you could have a build up of rust on the front disk that would cause a rumbly noise. Jack the van and catch the wheel at 12 and 6 o clock try to rock it to check for play in the bearings. Now turn the wheel and listen for untoward noises.
