General 2002 Brava 1.6 ELX Specs

Hi all, ive just brought a 2002 Brava 1.6 ELX in metallic red with a lovely cream interior.

I read the specs on it on parkers and it says it has a Passenger Airbag, Heated Front Seats and Air Conditioning.

Now that i have bought the car and had a chance to look around it in depth I can't find either of these anywhere. It does have a heater vent for the back seats so maybe its supposed to be Auxilliary Heating NOT Heated Seats but i dunno...

I've had a brava before without a passenger airbag and this looks exactly the same.

Oh also its got a little cream armrest for the front seats with a little cubby hole underneath it which is a nice little touch over my old 1.2 sx lol

I also have the vents in the back, and standard heated seats as my HLX is the same spec as the Brava ELX.

Air con switch is below the heater controls, if you have the slider there for air recirculation, then it doesn't have aircon.

I found the heated seat button earlier. Its SO nice having heated seats! my lower back has been killing me the last few day and that seat really hit the spot. I was in heaven!

I checked and it has a slider for air recirculation below the heater controls. I wonder why it hasn't got AC...

I was looking at the log book earlier and it was registered on 05/01/02 so it must have been one of the very last bravas made. So glad i found it!

Its probably a pre Nov 2001 model thats been sat in a field and registered late. If you private message me your chassis number I will tell you the production date if you like.

According to parkers a Brava 1.6 ELX 2002 model:

Air conditioning came as standard Nov 2001 - Feb 2002
Passenger airbag came as standard Nov 2001 - Feb 2002

Heated seats come as standard on the ELX models.


Do you have a sunroof by any chance?

thats what i used to find out the brava elx had also those bits on it (parkers), from my experience with parkers in the past its a pretty reliable source, its just weird that theres to major bits of kit missing on it! haha

Yeah its got a sunroof.

Oh and it definatly has the standard alarm and remote central locking. fyi
