Hi...Newbie Here needing some advice rearding an issue with the clutch on my 2001 Ducato 2.8 maxi campervan project ( Love shack )...i puchased the van a few years ago cheap as chips and was aware that it had gear selection issues ( no first gear and reverse was lucky dip 3 outa 10 goes found it )..the sync was also a bit iffy between second and third)..Ibought a set of secondhand cables of a chum from a peugeot boxer van ,fitted them and bought and fitted a Brand new clutch and discovered that the real issue was the gearbox itself:bang: (been told all sorts of horror stories regarding how rubbish these gearboxes are and that they have loads of issues including letting water in and that they are made of putty etc )...Good working gearboxes as i found out are like rocking horse poo to source!..Eventually i picked one up ( had to buy the whole van just to get the box good thing was i was able to try it out before i bought it but it ment double the work:mad:) cutting to the chase..the New clutch i fitted with the scrap original gearbox was a LUK and was quite epensive and only did around 50 miles before i took it off... Q...is it ok to re-use the full unit ? also the Clutch release bearing has "clicked" itself together ?? can this also be separated and re-used safely?? any advice would be appreciated...cheers

No reason not to reuse it, if its the pull type clutch theres a mandrel tool to release it but thus method would probably work [ame]https://youtu.be/4ud5bY0EZxA[/ame]
