Technical 2001 Ducato 2.8jtd goes into limp mode on bumpy roads

finally got a reasonable morning
first check leads to injectors
No 4 nearly fell off when checked
sprayed plug again fixed back firmly
nice even tickover again
must not have clipped it properly
last time
as corcais advice

just done about800 mile trip
got approx 35 mpg over trip
well worth a try

If my No.4 injector lead is too short and is putting the van into limp mode surely it must be registering as a fault code on the ECU? Can anyone give me the precise fault code for this problem? I am getting codes P0500 (vehicle speed sensor) and P0220 ( throttle pedal position sensor 2 circuit) - do either of these codes pinpoint the problem as being with the injector lead?

just tried advice given on forum
never got a code reader
