Hi guys and girls, haven't posted for a couple of years as I passed my Bravo onto my Mum - has been a good car to us but it has developed a fault -

The front wipers only work on the 'flick' setting (the one where you hold the stalk all the way up and the wipers go into hyperspeed for as long as you hold it there).
The constant slow, fast and intermitent have all stopped working. Front washer and rear wash and wipe works though.

Could it be the relay on the wiper motor or something else?

Cheers

if it works when you push it up to wipe once, then seems the relay is fine as something is happening.Id try a new set of stalks

yeah, does seem that way to me mate.

Ive had this problem only today, just to let that ANY stalk from any model bravo will fit yours, but if yours has headlight washers be sure to get the stalks from a bravo model that has them also.

scrapyard will charge between 10-20 quid mate. cheapest option as fiat want £119 +vat!!!!

This is the same issue I had when I purchaed mine.

Needed a "new" motor.

Picked one up from scrappy for about £20, been perfect since (3yrs).

Conflicting advice :( all the research I did seems to point to one or the other but I couldn't work out which one is at fault - the motor or the stalks - more advice welcomed . .

Certainly some parts of the stalk functions work - rear wash wipe, squirty, flick on wipers . . . getting the flick to work kind of indicates it's the stalks to me as if it was the motor the wipers wouldn't work at all ??

I'd go with stalks.....

I'm going to replace the stalks initially and take it from there. Thanks for the advice, useful guide on how to do this I see :)
