Technical 2000 multipla jtd 1.9 hand brake light and brakes

hi there i have a 2000 reg (W) multipla 1.9 jtd and i went out the other day in the rain and the handbrake light just poped on and faded away now it duz it all the time ????any help also the brakes wen i aply hard to the brakes sometimes it judders then bites ????????

Probably the brake pad wear indicator, check your pad thickness and also check the thickness of the disc; Multipla's tend to get through discs every 40k.
