Probably a general question, but I have a Scorpion full closure alarm fitted to my Cinq. Very reliable system in that it gives no false alarms and protects fully, with passive arming, window closing and remote locking.

However, you only have 20 seconds after dissarming to turn ignition on and same 20 seconds to get out and close doors before either passive arming takes place or alarm goes off. Anyone know of way to extend period to say 60 seconds?

As I get older 20 secs isn't long enough and I'd just like to last a little longer......

iam not a fan of alarms generally.nobody takes any notice when they go off.most can be disabled quickly.and the damn things are always going off in the middle of the night[not mine].i tend to stick with an immobilisor for ignition and fuel pump and a disklok.this should put 99.9% of thieves off.

Majority of thieves are oppotunists, keep valuables out of sight, face plate removed & more than likely they will move on to the next car with the laptop on passenger seat etc
However the biggest theft from cars is credit cards, simple to break the glass & look in glovebox for cards...worth more to a thief than any stereo.

if you ask em if its possible then they will tell you.
Only if you give em money will they probably tell you how to do it ;)

I have a load of infor about scorpian alarms if you can tell me what model it is I might be able to email you some instructions
