Hi.

After posting this, I ended up listening to the forum members (thank you!) and going for a different one.

chose a 2017 one with 104,000 KM. Manual.

Payed the guy and left on the high way back home.

20 min after I got a CHECK ENGINE light.

Got home and used my OBDII scanner.

Code is P0805 - Clutch Position Sensor Circuit

Any advice would be appreciated.
Also - can i drive the car for now?

Thanks so much!!!

Does this car have stop/start?and is it working if it does?.

No start stop.
Regular 2017 model.
It might be worth looking up from the footwell at the clutch pedal to see if theres any kind of switch attached to it?( maybe a sensor? ) do you have to have the clutch pedal depressed to start the car? if there is a switch its signal may be out of range causing the code!- have you tried deleting the code to see if or how long it takes to come back?.

Engine Control Module Marelli 9GF Euro 6

0805: Wiring between Powertrain Control Module and clutch position sensor

1. Check for presence of short circuit to battery on wiring
2. Check for presence of short circuit to earth in the wiring
3. Check for open circuit

must be this one, right? https://eper.fiatforum.com/en/Drawings/Detail/F/F/CIN/83/181/1/20/0/SubSubGroup

also, check the Earth cable

Thank you all!

Quick question: could this sensor affect how the clutch operates when engaging first gear and moving off from a stop?

I’m experiencing noticeable vibrations from the clutch — the whole car jerks with a kind of “dadadadadada” sensation — though it doesn’t happen every time, only during some take-offs.

I’m wondering if this could be related to the sensor, or if it’s simply a sign of a worn clutch unrelated to it.
