Technical 20 Min after purchase a used 1.2 manual - got check engine P0805 - advice?

Hi.

After posting this, I ended up listening to the forum members (thank you!) and going for a different one.

chose a 2017 one with 104,000 KM. Manual.

Payed the guy and left on the high way back home.

20 min after I got a CHECK ENGINE light.

Got home and used my OBDII scanner.

Code is P0805 - Clutch Position Sensor Circuit


Any advice would be appreciated.
Also - can i drive the car for now?

No start stop.

It might be worth looking up from the footwell at the clutch pedal to see if theres any kind of switch attached to it?( maybe a sensor? ) do you have to have the clutch pedal depressed to start the car? if there is a switch its signal may be out of range causing the code!- have you tried deleting the code to see if or how long it takes to come back?.

0805: Wiring between Powertrain Control Module and clutch position sensor
1. Check for presence of short circuit to battery on wiring
2. Check for presence of short circuit to earth in the wiring
3. Check for open circuit

also, check the Earth cable
