I Done the 2 min silence!!

Well up until some unknown guy popped into our office wondering why the Fire Alarm had gone off. Factilities Dept used the Alarm are start and finish of 2 mins

I missed it, actually I didn't know about it, and I have good reason to have wanted to take part in the silence.
I found out 2 days ago that one of my daughters best friends, who spent a lot of her childhood round my house, was in the edgeware paddigton train, she was in London for a Job interview, and is now seriously ill in hospital with 25% burns and a broken leg.
She had lost all her possesions so identifying her took a few days as she was unconcious and has no parents, because they both died in a car accident when she was 16.

Her name is Sam, and all she ever wanted to do was help people. She was going to be a nurse.

F******g Scum.

That's terrible. Poor girl. Hope she makes a full recovery. I'm sure there are similar terrible stories to be told too.

Would have done the 2 minutes silence but not seen a TV all week as been backwards and forwards to the hospital.

Poor Sam, I hope she recovers and carries out her dream. We did a two minute silence at work and the customers joined in as well :)
Thats cool, I'm soooo disappointed that i didn't know about the 2 minutes :(
I think 2 minutes is far more appropriate for something like this, it gives you a lot more time to actually think about those involved.

My last day at work before i start my new job and we all paid our respects by going outside sounding the alarm at 12 and then 12:02!

i didnt, but only because i've been on holiday since monday in the middle of the lakes - no tv, radio so had no idea about it. I was also asleep at 12, so i guess silent - but not really taking part. Had i known, i would've done.

There was some Mad Fire in wembely which distracted everyone. A building in teh industrail complex near the new wembely stadium caught fire and it got quite large, I happened to be on my way home at the time after dropping my younger cousine to me uncles.

To be fair I didn't know about the silence, been working a random 8 day week, no one informed me and I don't watch much telly.

I paid respect with radio 1. I was driving to Skeggy and pulled over.

I made sure everyone at work paid respect too. I rang up the two busses I was in charge of yesterday and told the drivers and crews to stop for two mins.
