Hi Guys, Just joined forum so please bare with me as I am new to this. I just bought a s/h Hobby 750 motorhome on a 2.8TD Ducato (x-reg. 2000). It came without a reversing camera so I bought one and fitted. I would like to know if I can run the supply to switch on camera somewhere at the front end. I have been told to run this to the reversing light but surely this is fed from up front somewhere. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers

Welcome. Now then, to your problem. Er, beyond suggesting the fuse box I'm a bit useless. However, there is a Ducato section that may well be worth a try.

On the other hand, and probably a bit late since you've already bought the camera, but you could always reverse it like a truck driver. Practice. It worked for me for half a million miles.

Do you still have the receipt?

Hi, thanks for your help but forgot to mention the monitor is part of the Ripspeed radio/cd player so connecting to a fuse will disable the radio and cd on screen. I was thinking more in line connecting to the reversing light switch. Hoping maybe someone would know the colour code to the cable going back to lights. Cheers Lanyon.

The wiring diagram for the 2.8 JTD has the main feed to the reversing lights as color code "BR" fed through fuse F31 but does this refer to "brown" or "brown with red tracer"? Whether this still applies to the 2.8TD I cannot say.
The fuse F31 (listed as ignition commuter in the manual??) is located in the fusebox on the passengers side for the right hand drive version & vice versa (drivers side) for LHD, very top left hand side of the fuse panel mounted horizontally unlike the other fuses which are mounted vertically.
So maybe if you looked to see what color the wires connecting the F31 fuse are it would give you an idea of what is the wiring color code or even connect through that.
Hope this still applies to the 2.8 TD
Cheers
