Hi,

Bought a Scudo 2.0 JTD 2001 with 185000 kilometers.

Drove it for one day and problems started directly, cutting out and then i could start again. Very hard to start even when 10 degress C.

Went to the garage and got faultcodes:

P0230 Pump supply fuel press low
P1112 Diesel press control
P0203 Injector 3
P0403 EGR
P0243 Overboost valve
P1404 Additional heater 2 and preheater circuit
P1135 3 Piston Deactivation

Fuelfilter in engine is new.
Tryed put dieselcleaner in the tank.
All fuses seams to be ok

I measured the pressure that is going from the fuel filter housing to the HP Pump and got 6 bars, is that ok? manual says 2,6 bar from the lift pump...

Not my engine on the picture, took it from google...

Lift pump seems to be ok or am i wrong? You can also hear when it starts.

I did not have a "T-connection when measured the pressure, just removed the hose.

W
hat is the next thing to do???

Regulator on HP pump?
Sensor och fuel rail?

Please give me some input on what to do next :)

Don't want to spend all my money going to a workshop...

6 bar at the HP pump inlet ? are you sure ? you need to measure the pressure from the main lift pump feed first which should be somewhere around 2 bar, and then from the filter to HP pump. you need to tee in as you will dead head the lift pump otherwise. there is a regulator in the filter which should drop the pressure to the HP pump inlet, which should be around 1.5 bar.. I'd say any higher than approx 2.5 bar from lift pump feed may indicate the return flow to tank is blocked. And check the pressures first with engine off and then running. If all ok here you may need diagnostics to test further, you should make note of those codes, clear them and then see which ones return. Then check rail pressure when cranking.. these need approx 120 bar before injectors will fire.

Did you get to the bottom of the fault ? Your injectors need 300 bar before they will open. you could check the voltages at the pressure sensor. You should get a 5 volt supply, an earth and a signal out of it. It will be approx 1.5 volts at 300 bar. You could disconnect the wiring connector on the pressure sensor on the rail which will give the ecu a standard value of 1500 bar then try it. if it starts this will tell you if your pressure sensor is faulty. I do not think that this will be the problem. If you turn the ignition on then off a few times without cranking to allow the system to build pressure then crank it does it start ? The 3 degree error relates to the high pressure pump which it could be. I have also know egr valves that are fully jammed open to cause cutting out, running problems and problems when starting
