Technical 2.0 20v throttle cable.

Right im still running a temp fix after my throttle cable snapped.

Went to Fiat who were going to get the cable in as no other supplier does it saying Fiat only part.

Now today get a call back from the dealer after fiat told the dealer they no longer make the part. Whats with that so now i cant get my cable.

So now im stuffed unless someone knows a shop or parts supplier that does one???

Surely not, have you tried another dealer, just in case.

Phoned another dealer which was 130 miles away and they eventually got back syaing the same. An exhausted part. Although the new dealer is going to see if they can find something else.

Well just got off the phone with them. The bravo HGT and Coupe are the same part number so fiat dont make a throttle cable for any of these 3 20vers now :S

I'm shocked at this. I thought manufacturers had an obligation to supply parts for cars for at least 10 years minimum after production ends? So what happens to all the 20v Fiats now? Bloody ridiculous!

I tried them this morning. He had someone with an HGT bravo wanting one a couple days ago.

The word is that Fiat dont make it any more for the 20v but they still do them for the rest of the engine range.

So im getting one custom made from a cable i got from the scrappys
