General 2.0 20v Gearbox Compatability

Ok so basically which gearboxes are compatible with the 155 20v Bravo HGT.

I'm assuming the:

Marea 155 20v

How about the 147 though, or coupe boxes, ideallu those with the same ratio as dont really want to change that.

Presumably the coupe box will be the same.

Not needed now have decided to get mine reconditioned as i got a good price from a guy we know. However for reference it is thought that all 2.0 20v gearboxes fit, 155, 147 and even the 6 speed turbo version, however obviously different ration in the 6 speed.

the bell housing is the same on all the 20v gearboxes so yes you could fit any of them, but sticking the turbo's box on a non-turbo would be very silly, you'd struggle to accelerate. sticking the N/A box on a turbo would be interesting and definately something i'd want to try. i'm going to be fitting the 1.6box on my alfa, its a cheap way to make a huge difference to performance. from past experience i can honestly say it makes a lot more difference than a remap.
