Technical 1998 Punto mk1 60

My son has just acquired this car from his workmate. Its done 120k miles has been serviced and mot yearly but no history of a cam belt change. My son is coming home for a week and I intend to replace the cam belt as a precaution. I have replaced ten belts in my time. Is this belt a straightforward job or is there something to watch out for? What about tensioner bearing? Is there an online car parts seller who is recommended? Is there any write up on this forum regarding cam belts for mk1 Punto? Thanks AM.

Easy job. Change tensioner and water pump at the same time. Details in the guides here and the Cinq/Sei section.

For parts on line, either Eurocarcare or Shop4Parts. The pitch of the belts did change, so using the VIN will help avoid possible issues.
