1997 Punto Sporting - Filling up with Petrol

I'm new to this forum so havent has a chance to have a proper look for any similar problems.

I have a 1997 Punto Sporting, and when i try and put Petrol in it, it seems to click back every time i try and put some pressure on the pump trigger.

I have tried to look on the internet but just cant seem to figure out how to stop this happening.

Shoulg i turn the nozzle upside down and insert it into the car like that?

Anyone else had this problem, or have any ideas?

Try different angles for the nozzle and maybe even, carefully... half inserting the nozzle. Then try only half pulling the nozzle trigger.

As above - you might need to only put the nozzle halfway in, but watch it when the tank's getting full.

Sounds daft but also try different pumps or filling stations - my old mk1 would frequently have this problem but only at certain pumps!!
