1988 Panda electrical problems - help!!

I'm brand new to the Fiat Forum and have just spent weeks restoring a 1988 Panda Super for a chap who drives them around the world for charity. When he arrived tonight to collect the Panda the wiper, heater and dipped beam headlamps no longer work and I haven't touched anything electrical except from replacing the starter motor. I'm gutted! I'm suspecting a relay but any ideas would be very appreciated!
