Hi Guys!
My standard Sei is fitted with 165/55 R13 tyres. When shopping around, the choice is pretty limited. (n)
There seems to be a lot more choice of tyres, many of them a lot cheaper too, for 165/65 R13
Does anyone see any issue fitting slightly larger profile tyres?
Thank you as ever for your help :)

It will affect the speedo reading.

55 tyre to 65 tyre
20 mph reads 21.3
30 mph reads 31.9
40 mph reads 42.6
50 mph reads 53.2
60 mph reads 63.9
70 mph reads 74.5
80 mph reads 85.2
90 mph reads 95.8

165/60R13 will be trouble-free, even if you end up lowering the car at some point.

165/65R13 is very close to my Summer setup, 165/55R14.
It is also close to 155/70R13 which is really bad and bouncy and on stock suspension you're left with little to no steering feedback.
To me that would be eliminating one of the really great things in a cento!

175/50R13 is amazing!
Haven't tried Nankangs in that particular size and profile, but I hate them anyway, lol!

the AS1 isn't that bad really - its not a high performance tyre but its miles away from they old 'ditch-finder' EX500. They replaced the EX500 with XR11 which were much better in 165/55r13 and the AS1 is better still. Cento people have so much hate for Nankang Tyres but really they are a decent brand, the EX500 wasn't even a bad tyre it just didn't seem to work all that well in our size. Nankangs are widely used in other circles on some really fast cars with good reviews!!! I've know highly tuned Skyline owners that swear by Nankangs as the best tyres for example.

Thanks for your help guys! I will probably put in the cash and effort to keep it as Fiat intended then - particularly if I can stand to lose the sharp steering that I love in this car! :)

I'll admit I'm negatively biased towards Nankang tires.
165/45R15 would be bad on any car with 6.5" wide rims. Downright dangerous when pushing it but of course suspension, tracking and track width are important factors as well. :)

I've also heard plenty good about Nankangs for bigger rims. There's just no grounds for comparison between small vs. big rims on completely different types of car.

Does seem silly that I replaced Nankangs with Ovation tires (Chinese), lol! I was lucky, though. They're much better than expected/feared. :p
