I have two sets of 14" wheels both 165 wide but 65 and70 profile. The standard tyres for the 14" alloys are 165-65 and my Avons are 21 3/4" diameter. My winter Goodyears are 165-70 and are 22 3/4" diameter. This increase of 1/2" on the radius does not foul anything but 80 profile might. The higher profile tyres give a smoother ride. Of course any changes from standard could cause problems after an accident.
