West Coast Rally 2014
Eglinton Park, Irvine, KA12 8TA

13th July 2014

About
Last year (2013) was our first year at West Coast Rally, in association with Autoscots and West Coast Jaguar, and was very much and very thoroughly enjoyed by everyone, which was also helped with the weather, from Fiat-Scotland (And all other clubs that had attended). The turnout was very large last year, with 210 vehicles (Including around 8 from Fiat-Scotland and Abarthisti) and although down on the previous year, there were more than 1500 visitors, which smashed the previous record. The live band was also a pretty good addition to the day. The reptile and bird sanctuary that came along also allowed younger visitors to enjoy the day. This year, fingers crossed for the same weather but stands, more vehicles, and more people.

This year, 2014
This year, we are hoping to get more people to attend with Fiat Scotland than what we had last year, be it with a Fiat or otherwise. I, personally, will be attending this years rally. Lets see if we can get more than the usual people coming along. I'm sure that Martyn will be bringing the Gazebo and Katie with the BBQ (Or maybe Katie with both?), so we will be doing the usual burgers, bacon and sausage rolls, along with cold drinks and various snacks, complimentary to all Fiat Scotland members.

It really was a great show last year and I've already decided I'm there despite the fact I should be in Italy for work up until the 12th. I'm just going to insist I'm home in time to attend this :D

However I should add my car is not the tardis and the bbq certainly will not be in it unless we go down the disposables route

Im not 100% sure but I think it may be possible.

Not sure if we can camp for free like at cupar but there is a proper camp site attached to Eglinton Park. If all else fails there is the Travelodge 5-10 miles away that I stayed in last year :)

Hi there, I am new to this site, but have been on FiatForum for a couple of years now, (same username on there) and I am looking to attend this show in my classic Fiat Panda Parade if thats ok? I saw you guys there last year but I didnt get a chance to speak to any of you.

Hello and welcome over to FS. I suppose it's only fair you're here too since we invaded your Panda camp thread :D

It would be great to see you and your Panda at the show so yes, come along and be on our stand. It's been a couple of years since I've seen your Parade and I'm looking forward to seeing what you've done to it

Quite Alright :) And I hope it doesn't dissapoint! It is very different than it used to be, I've reinstated the colour coded grille, blue and white coachlines and original wheels among many other things, so hope you like the look :) And I am really looking forward to Panda Camp, it ought to be really good fun :)

Good to see another person from Ayrshire coming along for the show ;)
The weather for the show last year was perfect, which as you know for Ayrshire is unusual :p

We'll most likely to be meeting up at Brewers Fayre Killie & then blast along the A71 & A78 providing the A71's open this year.

Are you likely to attend SICD at all?

Hi Andy, cool though not sure I will be able to keep up with a blast along the road haha :)

No, I meant to last year but I wasn't happy with the condition of my car then, and don't have the time and money this year due to going to panda camp. I'm sure I will get at some point though :)

I can't exactly blast along in a 1.2 GP, so don't worry about keeping up, I didn't go to SICD last year due to having a holiday around that time & I'd had a spate of bad luck before hand, namely to do with a certain 2nd Hand Car Sales on the Heathfield Road, with the Alternators constantly blowing, with 1 blowing on the approach to the Asda Roundabout coming from Whitletts End, having to coast round that roundabout & the mini roundabout by B&Q with no engine.

But *hopefully* I'll make it to SICD this year.
