Hi guys - quick question ! - can anyone tell me if the 130tc front/rear windscreens are the 'pop-in' type that you can install yourself with the 'string in the groove' trick ie with no sealant. Any advice from DIYérs appreciated ! Cheers Hamish
Front and Rear screens/glass are "traditional" screen in rubber surround assemblies with no glue/bonding required.
This means that yes you use the "waxed cord" method for installing the screens.
Secret tip
With the bonnet open then on either side underneath scuttle there is a (long) bolt that secures and allows the dashboard to be lowered away from the bottom of the windscreen area. Lower the car steering wheel and then evenly undo these two bolts. If you do not do this then you will have great difficulty with fitting the bottom edge.
They are quite long bolts but suggest do not fully take them out.
