Hi, about to fit an Amplified fixed roof aerial (kinetic dra-6001 from Dabonwheels)
Hopefully will sort the rubbish dab reception out,

I need a 12v feed to the aerial,
Anyone know the best place to take this feed from?

2017 ducato euro6

There is an "always on" wire for the radio memory. In the old days it was a separate red wire, but now I expect it to be in the multi contact connector. A multimeter can tell you which pin.

Don't have access to a multimeter, just a live 12v circuit tester (the light up screwdriver type)

As I'll be running the aerial wire into dash to rear of head unit,
Is it viable to connect and draw the feed from spare lighter plug?

I was thinking about a 3M plastic thing that can add an extra wire to an existing one without cutting and taping. If you don't need the 2nd lighter socket you can use the plug.

Yeah a scotch block or similar, will test the rear load bay light as it's closer for power, as long as it's when ign on, as when it's off I won't be listening generally, if not will use the the spare socket feed,

The radio should have an output wire for electric aerial, usually blue, that is powered when the radio is switched on. Whilst htis many years ago was intended to trigger electric aerials, it has mostly been used for amplified aerials. Use that.

Problem I have there is, not knowing which, if it has one, that wire would be, it's crammed back there, as there's an extra loom for reverse camera supply, no diagrams (I wouldn't have a scooby on how to read a diagram)
And from experience with aftermarket dab head units in old vans, they have the ability to switch a 12v feed on/off up the aerial wire itself, whereas these crappy factory fit things, don't.

The new aerial is going to be fixed to the roof, in the load bay near the front end, sliding door side, so will either run an extra wire for the 12v down with the aerial wire to spare cig lighter or the interior light (shortest route)
I think that's my two easy options, without messing around with factory harness behind head unit

I don't have access to a multi metre, also it doesn't require a permanent live, only switchable live , hence I'm looking at the easier option of the load bay interior light.
Will have to wait now unfortunately after coming second in an argument with a blind spot bollard yesterday morning in the dark foggy icy back roads [emoji35]
