Hi everyone,
My 2022 Ducato motorhome fitted with 10“ Uconnect headset doesn’t appear to recognise the DAB radio as though there’s no signal at all even in good reception areas the number of fm stations is also very limited. I ve heard about poor DAB reception issues with these but there’s just nothing here and no mirror guards are fitted to interfere with the reception either. I also have an intermittent issue where the reverse camera occasionally gives the blue screen when reverse is selected. Can anyone advise on how to either remove the head unit or just dismantle the dash sufficiently so I can check the relevant aerial and camera connections please. The previous owner states everything was fine at the point of sale and never had any issues. I’ve had a tracker fitted so I’m wondering if something was dislodged at the time. Don’t mind tackling the job but need to know where to start without causing any damage to the plastics etc.
Many thanks in advance

I'm not at all sure about this, but since both the 6 and 10 are/were offered contemporaneously, I suspect the 10 is secured in a similar manner to the 6.
Yes, basically the same except, as far as I remember, the 10 inch has two additional fixing bolts at the top accessed by removing the perforated panel on top of the dashboard just behind the head unit.

The video here illustrates the latter.

Just what I need to know many thanks for your help. I’ve been waiting for our recent fall of snow to recede a little I’ll take a look when get to the storage depot

I’ll confirm when I take a look. Many thanks for your reply

Update on this issue.
Fiat offered to look into this as a good will gesture providing the fault lay with Fiat components and is carried out by main dealership but I have to cover the initial OBD check. Not wanting to jeopardise any chance of a warranty claim and heater vents proving difficult to remove without an uncomfortable amount of force I booked a diagnostic test.
The OBD test carried out by Fiat didn’t find any issues but the tech found a “loose connection” to the headset which has re-enabled DAB but nothing found regarding the reverse cam issue. Fiat rightly claim the camera is not their problem as it was installed by the coach builders so it’s back to Burstner again. They did however recommended trying a Uconnect software update to see if that corrects the camera problem but were unable to do this as they say it’s against company policy to carry out updates on site which I found bizarre. As I can’t fit the vehicle on my drive I need to find a location that has a secure internet connection accessible by password and download any updates by WiFi. I still think this is clutching at straws and I’m sure it’s a hardware fault. After all the to-ing and fro-ing between Fiat and Burstner the van is getting further and further out of warranty so I’m not confident Burstner will honour any repairs or even any good will as they originally thought the fault was with the headset and suggested I take it up with Fiat
Any thoughts/suggestions on the software update and or anything that I could put to Burstner regarding the reverse cam as it’s been about 6months since I reported the fault. Apparently the warranty period of 24months expired last April and I notified them in June 2 months out of warrant.

Update on this issue.
If you trust the word of the previous owner that the reverse camera was working without problems then that really rules out a software problem. It would be worth going back to Burstner with the information that Fiat have determined that the fault lies elsewhere and see if they will help. Failing that it could either be a fault in the cable between the head unit and camera, the connection at the camera or the camera itself. I would check the connection first and if that's OK then replace the camera for an identical one, they aren't terribly expensive.

Following my posts regarding a long running issue with the Uconnect 10 headset having no DAB and an intermittent reverse cam blue screen fault just after the warranty had expired I think everything is close to getting sorted. Decided against removing the headset as Fiat service Italy offered to take a look as gesture of goodwill provided I pay for an OBD check at the main dealership. They found the DAB fault was a wiring issue but the blue screen was a Burstner issue the dealer who supplied the vehicle had repeatedly fobbed me off claiming the issues to be with Fiat when I returned after having the DAB sorted they informed me they were no longer Burstner dealers and weren’t taking any new business. Great! Nearest Burstner dealer now was Camper UK in Lincoln, what a revelation! After just one phone call they informed me the blue screen could be a known fault and arranged with Burstner to have the camera replaced FOC but I pay 1 hrs labour as it’s out of warranty, informed me there’s a recall on the hab door window and are trying to reinstate the damp warranty with Burstner as I unintentionally missed a hab and damp test last year. Can’t praise Camper UK enough and anyone having Fiat warranty issues I recommend getting in touch with Fiat Italy service team they too were very helpful. The sad thing is all this could have been solved while the warranty was still valid the original dealers wouldn’t even look at the van, just passed it off as a Fiat issue not their problem 🤬
