that reverse in cable is really bugging me, no idea what it is for
could be when you select reverse gear, u know the red and black one before soldering it with the extended wire check to see if there is a 12 volt coming out of them....
or try connecting the dc power jack to the reverse in ?
if u know what i mean..
its bugged me so much im going out to the car now to test the power on them :bang:
results are in... after balancing the radio on my knee and the camera in one hand, with the red and black wires of the camera cable twisted to the red and black ones on the radio i can confirm it works :woot: as soom as it went into reverse there i was on the screen, so tomorrow i will pick up the 5m of cable and solder it in place

the "reverse in" is not needed?
not that i saw, everything worked fine, i cant see what its use it :/

I think this will do the job instead of soldering the wires together
just connect both wires using :-

yeah they would work but the cables are pretty thin, try a crimp connector if you dont fancy soldering
