West Coast Rally 2015
Eglinton Park, Irvine, KA12 8TA

12th July 2015

Our history & about the show
In 2013, We were invited by Autoscots to join in with a car show at Eglinton Park, Irvine. Although this was our first show on the west coast (For aslong as I can recall), We weren't so sure on what to expect, but to be completely honest, it was fantastic. Meeting a huge variety of people from all types of other car clubs, and also those just interested, was fantastic (Which was helped greatly by the weather). The first year we were there, we managed a respectful 8 vehicles through the combined effort of Fiat-Scotland and Abarthisti. The overall vehicle turnout that year was just over 200 and visitor numbers over 1,500!

Last year, was another good year at West Coast Rally and was very much and very thoroughly enjoyed by everyone, which was also helped with the weather. The turnout was about 1 third bigger, with more than 300 cars and 150 motorbikes and trikes, and with well over 3000 visitors, I'd say that it was a very large show.

The show was set up by AutoScots, West Coast Jaguar and various other car clubs, and this year they are being brought together with ScotziaModz, to create a hugely and extremely diverse array of vehicles, so from your old classic jags and other classics to your extremely modified Japanese and Euro machines.

This year, 2015
This year, we are hoping to get more people to attend with Fiat Scotland than what we had last year, be it with a Fiat or otherwise. I, personally, will be attending this years rally. Lets see if we can get more than the usual people coming along.

So people, Who's in for this event. All details are subject to change and pricing and other details will be provided when they become available.

Will have to see about time off Work but I want to try and get down to this one as not been before so it will depend on Work and the willingness of my panda.

Should be trucking up for this with some new goodies on the panda rig lol :) Got a key ring for u Martin ;)

Will bring the Abarth along, not a big fan of Irvine having a crazy Ex from there but I will risk it :p

I am away to Mexico on the 15th so be a little excitement before going, again will try stirring up some interest with the abarth owners in Scotland if that is OK with you guys? I will take both the Carnie farm and this thread over onto the Abarthisti and Abarth Owners Club forums.

Sounds terrific, we have been starved of events on our forums since I took ownership, seemed to have been buzzing beforehand but all the regulars have moved on from the brand or just don't check the forum anymore!

We get a small meet for a chat now and again at the Hollywood bowls I have attended once :)

Hopefully stir up some interest and may even manage to bring along a 250 bhp Abarth 500, basically a racing car, guy has done some serious work to it, quite the machine!

Folks,

one of the features of the WCR is they have someone with a roving microphone touring the show and asking people to say something about their club/cars etc. We wussed out of this last year as none of us were prepared and didn't want to be put on the spot so this year it'd be nice if we could say something.

If Yellow is there one of us will definitely tell the story of the FS project car but it'd be great if someone else would also like to say a few words about their motor. It's just a minute or 2 of talking about your car so if you are happy to do this please let us know :)

With SICD out the way it's time to start thinking about the West Coast Rally. I really can't recommend this show highly enough and it's a firm favourite of mine. There's something for everyone including children making it an ideal family day out as well as a must-not-miss event for all petrol heads.

I'll be heading down on the Saturday as usual and will be booking a hotel sometime in June. Anyone who wants to join me is more than welcome :)

Hope to see you there
