1242 Cam upgrade.

Right,

im seeking a little more power from my little seicento, basicly, whats the 1242 cam upgrade's gains etc,

any pro's? any con's?. What should i be looking for etc?. does this upgrade allow more power, better acceleration?

the 866 cam allows the inlet and exhaust to stay open longer and open further allowing more air into the cylinder= more power and torque at higher revs.. the idle and low rev speed will be slightly worse though but barely noticable.. youll need the 866 cam out of the punto 75 and you will need to reshim the cam followers to get the right vavle gap.. best performance will probably come with a remap as well

It's a worthwhile mod. If yours is an SPI car, you can usefully pop on a 40mm throttle body and fit a chip. All in the Cento/Sei guides.


A more worthwhile mod is to pop in a bigger engine................
