Tuning 1242 8v ecu

Hi, if I swap my 1.1 to a 1242 8v can the original ECU be run onto the new engine without anything being changed. If not please could you let me know what has to be done. Thanks james[emoji2]

if it's the same type injection (spi or mpi) the stock ecu will work

Or if spi, a mcritch chip would be ideal.

I think there's one on eBay at the moment if he doesn't make them anymore

the spi (p60 engine) runs perfect on the original ecu. It is said that it will run the mpi (P75) as well which it kinda does but in my experience it doesnt run it well at all.
