An interesting candidate for a youngtimer car. I'd wish to have it and keep it so untouched forever.

When I was over in NZ following the Lions rugby tour all I saw were japanese and american cars apart from about 1000 camper vans of which I was one.
I was hoping to meet Steve for a beer but our e mails never crossed over.
Maybe nextime when it is summer as it was snowing when I was there.

Unos are by no means as popular as the jappas etc, but theres certainly still a considerable number of them round. Pity half of them rust away

at some point New Fiats sell reasonably well in NZ. Nothing like Toyota or Holden etc but not bad. We dont get all the models though. The vast majority of cars on the road in NZ are however, 2nd hand imports from Japan. There are virtually no imported Fiats so overall there are very few Fiats compared with Japanese brands. New Zealand buys more 2nd hand cars from Japan than any other country by a long way. Concidering our population, that should illustrate what sort of cars we have on our roads. NZ also gets some JDM specific models new. No other countries get these AFAIK.
As far as Unos go, we got stacks of Mk1's but very few Mk2s. Mk2 turbos would be one of the rarest "modern" Fiat. There were less than 20 sold here. Mk2's would probably out number Mk1's now as the mk1s have all rusted away.
There are not too many American cars. We only really get Some Chryslers and Jeeps.
As far as Unos go, we got stacks of Mk1's but very few Mk2s. Mk2 turbos would be one of the rarest "modern" Fiat. There were less than 20 sold here. Mk2's would probably out number Mk1's now as the mk1s have all rusted away.

After all the rustmeisters I've had, it would be quite something to have an Uno in ultimate condition - and quite fun to keep it that way. But what about the kilometres? Would it be possible to drive such a car, knowing that the kilometres would never be that low again?
Then of course I suppose the price is a bit of an issue - still a lot cheaper than any other 'new' car though!
As for the 'American' cars, I'm guessing that those were actually Australian Fords and Holdens...

Make an offer, I would not pay over 2K for it though, its still an 86 Uno 45
A guy I know bought a 1 owner Mk2 turbo with 17,000km on the clock about 2-3 years ago for $7K. Its like brand new. The original tyres expired after a week of a new "enthuiast" driving it haha
