1 ohm

Hi

First question, is my sub and amp ok to play at 1 ohm, second question, to get 1 ohm do you wire in series or parrell?

Im a bit confused

I dont much care for parallel and series as i always forget which is which but i believe its Parallel. Basically + to + and - to -. It only says that the woofer has a nom impedance of 1 ohm so i presume that it is dual 2 ohm. Just check with a multi meter before hooking it up to an amp.

well when i bought the system, it already had the wires with it, and as you have described (+ to +, - to - etc), so the person before had it like that. Ant to fused as its crazy enough as it is, was just gettin a bit confused.

Youtube and other websites say that parrell = 1 ohm but for some reason infinity think series is!?

No, it does say series Stu.

NOTE: Minimum impendance of each subwoofer = 4 ohms if subwoofers are connected in parallel and 1 ohm if the are connected in series.
