Hi Guys,

Since having the car back, it's started giving me this error message on startup.

The brake lights work fine, any ideas?

Plus, the car is going for an MOT tomorrow. Would this error be a problem for that?

Thanks
Dave

Also i'm going to change my front pads later, anything special i need to know? These Stilos are never straight forward.

The car's telling you the resistance is wrong on the brake light circuit eg bad connection or wrong bulb so you may find weird things happening like brake lights or sidelights dim in time with indicators flashing on that side even though they work on their own. Now that is an MOT fail and shows a bad earth or connections

So I would get to the circuit board in the rear light cluster, clean up the contacts where the bulb makes contact and also where the electrical connector makes contact with the circuit board and clean both with contact cleaner or an eraser.

Front pads are straightforward, it's the rear ones that need special treatment

I'll have a look in a bit, cheers!

Hi All
Just fixed the same problem, for me it was just a bulb that appeared to be working O.K but was faulty.
When I looked closely at the rear light I could just about see it was flickering very slightly in time with the engine.
My guess is the filament in the bulb was broken but still making contact, so the light still worked but the computer picked up on it as a fault.
