was out today in her all fine.. was wet and drove through this inconspicuous puddle quite fast...water everywhere.. after 5 minutes, drove upto this junction and downgearing to come to a stop the egine just cut out at the junction.tried startint it again but wont do anything but turn over..does sound weak on compression too...im aggered as it wants taxing end of jan and this is more expense i could do without...HELP PLEASE!!!

right 1st thing to do is check ur coils, water might have gone onto ur spark plugs so just check that. it wont be anything serious as it could just be water damage but once its dried up it should be fine.

if there is water in ur spark plugs, what ever u do, DO NOT take ur plugs out! just get a rag and stick it down tot he plug to soak the water up that should do it other than that, id just leave it for a put and try to push start it

She's a monster soon to be revealed :)

If they didnt want it stripping they shouldnt have used nuts and bolts :)

still turning over

no there was no noise mate when it cut out..didnt notice out anyway...it just wouldnt idle..and if it was water would it not be spluttering or starting with just a misfire?? thanks lads for everything but keep it coming...shes my little beast ....supprises a few anyway!!..lol

no, if the water gets to ur plugs itll just be very under powered and then eventually cut out it wont start at all because there wont be a spark

oh dear

think its the cambelt..either come off, broke or stripped teeth.. cams arent turning.. or at least the cam u see from the oil filler cap isnt turning.. so do u think this is deffianatelt cambelt problems.

sorry mate.....

head off job and inspect for damage, seems like its every other day im reading posts like this now :(

if it needs head work, its more cost effective to start over again
