FAO TOM

need your help Tom.... there was a post about this recently but forgot what u recommended...surprisingly mine is also a 1.8 96 bravo and need some new plugs..

Which ones do u have Tom and where do u get them from?

Cheers

Re: FAO TOM

I dont think you can go far wrong with a set of champion plugs..

..but i have heard not so good things about Splitfires.

Tom will know...

Re: Re: FAO TOM

Its a little odd that they are recomending two different heat ranges of plug... surely there should be just one.

There is alot of difference between a 6 and an 8. You'll either get fouling cos its running too cold or breakup cos its overheating. The latter is BAD!

I use Bosch super 4 or NGK multi electrodes. Everything I've heard about Splitfires is bad. They are a rip, don't touch them.

For a 16 valver with the plug in the middle you should only really use a multi electrode plug, never one with an old style single electrode.

As for which one.. Umm... ask Fiat? :) Try the Bosch book at Hellfords, its not written by Hellfords and I've always found it to be right.

Re: spark plugs

Just ordered some Chapion ones from Fiat cost £36 and they recommend they last 24k..

What u think Tom??

Cheers

Re: Re: spark plugs

Yeah right :) I'd say 12k was more realistic.
