Just wondering as i might be getting a 1.6 or a 1.8, how much mpg to the gallon you get?
Currently reading:
1.6sx and 1.8 mpg

a poor 29 to 30 mpg whatever the stress on the engine

32-36MPG on a 1.6 depending how hard I drive it.
On long motorway trips it gets almost reasonable MPG. Some people seem to get much better MPG but I think they drive like grannies

The slower i drive and the sooner that i change up gear the lower that the mpg count is. Funny my 1.6 MK1 Bravo....but I love it.

If i keep the revs below or to 3500rpm then i will get 400 miles per tank (£35) but i usualy get 300miles if not slightly less
