Technical 1.6 16v Marea not starting

Tightening the nlet manifold bolts seems to have sorted out the engine management light problem, it still won't start with the key or idle

Its in the garage getting a diagnostic now, so hopefully I'll be able to drive it home soon

Did you find the problem with it in the end?

I have a1997 marea weekend with the 1..6 16valve engine, my car starts by the key but will stall unless you keep it above 1000rpm so i would be very interested in knowing what the problem was with your car!

i am very confused as it does not do it all the time ... i was thinking maybe a dirty idle control valve?
