1.4 mpg

I have a 1.4 and get 300 miles out of a tank of petrol at the moment. Is this good compared to what other people with 1.4's get??

How much do people with 1.2's get?

I get 450ish when motorway driving in my 1.2.

I get approx 180 miles in my 1.4 urban driving only, 300 miles if motorway driving only. Dire mpg in all cases and looking for a jtd in summer time

i thought the 1.4 did gpm not mpg!

i get that sort of mileage out of my tuned 1.6!

Im just trying to see whether it would be worth trading in my 1.4 SX 1998 with 50k miles, for a 51 reg 1.2 with about 15-30k miles. So I could have a newer car that cost less to run.

What you'll save in petrol costs every month will go towards the installment after trade in. It'll pay part of it at least so its worth doing. Thats the mentality im following to go for a jtd, i do a lot of local mileage and what i potentially stand to save will almost cover the installment if i trade in against a jtd.

well at the moment I'm getting 275 miles from a tank of shell unleaded in my angeltuned 1.2. my car needs sorting out me thinks time for new exhaust and plug leads I think... shame as I was lovin the smell of petrol when I'm sat idling
