1.4 engine

hi having probs with gearbox and petrol consumption on my 1.4 bravo.Going to change it to a 1.8. There is a 1.8 back end damage i'm away to buy to swap the engine. Is the wiring for the 1.8 the same as the 1.4 or does the wiring loom need to be changed any help would be appreciated.

Sell your 1.4 and buy a 1.8 lad, really isn't worth the hassle in my honest opinion.

There is so much to change to make the 1.8 work in the 1.4.

Alot of cash for a fair gain at best, but not really worth it imo. If you were paying out for an engine swap then best make it really worthwhile, say a coupe turbo lump.

I sold my 1.4 and bought a 1.8HLX

you also gain because you get much better spec, and trim etc. The 1.4 is incredibly basic.
