What are the advantages of having a 1.6HLX over having a 1.2SX? Both are Mk2. The 1.2 has 90k and the 1.6 has low milage, not too sure exactly.

1.2 is in Rosso Smalto, 1.6 in Heraldic Blue.

the 1.6 is a lot faster and only does about 50 less miles to a tank of fuel. it has more goodies because it is the hlx version

I'm trying to come up with a list so that I can persuade my mum to let me buy one :D. She keeps saying I've got to keep my 1.2 for the first year of driving. Had it for 3 months now.

lol be paitent and you can buy a 1.8 or even a hgt next year . and let me tell you now the hgt is worth the wait lol

Lol, I suppose. Also, I'm going to uni in september so I most likely won't be using the car much.

Probs best to find out what the insurance will be on a higher engined car first too....

If you've only been driving a few months, don't even consider an HGT.

Insurance companies will have a field day...or not even bother with you until you are over 25/30 depending on company...

im only 22 with 1 year no claims in the highest risk bracket and i was quoted £836 fully comp with all mods and that included future mods also the exxses was £150 wich i think was quite good. thats a hgt 147 by the way

Well im 18 and afta 1 years no claims on a HGT i wud be paying 230 a month and that was the cheapest quote i cud find, full comp with 250 excess.

If i can get a better job i will be seriously considering it tho!! :p

I'm paying £1250 for my 1.2 atm. That's fully comp. On a 1.6, its £1262. On a 1.8, it's £1280. On the HGT, I can't even get a quote.
