Recently bought a 1.2 2002 active sport. I bought it with a head gasket gone so did that and had the head skimmed.
It ran lovely and then a few days later starter spluttering/ missing from the exhaust.
Things changed
Plugs, leads , cam sensor , crank sensor , new cat/manifold , brand new coil switched on either two and injector cleaner.
I then disconnected the injector plugs one by one with engine running and number 3 tone didn't change. I've since changed that injector and checked the plug to find no issues but the problem still persists
I ran the car for a couple of days doing the traditional decoke and it cleared and ran spot on for a week then it began to play up again I then randomly revved it hard and it cleared and drove extremely well and disconnected number 3 injector again and the revs changed. It then drove lovely for an hour, I hacked it up the motorway and back and then it spluttered and misfired again. It has been plugged in and timing has been rechecked and there are no codes present. Any idea need help asap before I cut my losses !!
