General 1.2 Easy accelerator pedal

Just a quick question, should the accelerator pedal have a rubber cover over it because mine appears to be just plastic? There's a pedal rubber on the other 2 pedals. It would explain why my foot kept sliding off the gas pedal when I was on a long motorway journey, which was a bit annoying. I've looked more closely at the pedal because it seems to be creaking slightly as I'm driving the car. It's only just started doing it and it's a bit irritating as the pedals should be silent. I'm not overly worried about it as my last car did a similar thing when it was brand new with the brake pedal. I squirted some WD40 on the mechanism and that cured it on the previous car. So I might give that a go to see if it cures it. I'm just surprised to find a plastic pedal and no rubber on it. Or maybe that's common on new cars these days?

That's odd. Mine definitely has rubber on all 3 pedals.

No, the accelerator pedal is made of plastic, the previous panda and punto models were all the same.
