General 1.2 8v loud engine rattling noise

what workshop manual? the gp also takes Fully synthetic not semi


easy way to see if oil is getting to the top start car and carefully remove oil cap if you see it splashing about its getting up there

Only going by specs given in Haynes manual .. and i'm not sure it's an oil issue as yet by the way mines not a GP, it's an active MK2

Does it change with engine revs or only at certain revs when warm? If the latter that's what my 1.2 was doing and after a lot of searching I tracked it down to the engine oil dipstick. Straightened that and 2000 miles later - still quiet

Believe it or not I had same issue it rattled when I gave it some revs and literally all mine was was the lid on the fuse box weren't clipped down properly because after that I haven't had a noise since ?
