Technical 08 ducato key problem

hi all, i have a 2008 ducato moter home and i have lost the card with key info etc on now i have a key broken and when I ordered one off my local dealer the fob works but the key is cut wrong an now they are saying i need a full lock set fitted!
if anyone could could shed some light on this i would be greatful as it seems a bit odd!

Im a little confused.
Have you got a key that starts the vehicle or is the broken one the only one you had ?

If you have a working key you can send it to me along with your broken one.
I can send you back two working keys.
Or I may be to cut the key from a good photo.

ps. you may only need a blade
