Technical 07 Ducato headlight moisture and adjuster fault

Help please!

I've got moisture in my n/s headlight and now the adjuster wont work. The light is pointing upwards and the o/s light is 'normal'. The adjuster control wont do anything.

I've been told that a new headlight unit is around £250, but someone on ebay is flogging them for around £90... So I wonder if the cheaper one doesnt have the motor included? I'll mail them and ask...

So the question is, can the headlightbe repaired, or do I need to replace it?

I believe this problem only affects the early models from 06 into 07. Mine did it from new, so I simply opened the bonnet and drilled a 2mm hole in to the headlight from the side. Its been fine since. I cant help you with the adjuster motor tho. Have you taken it apart to see if it needs some lubrication or if it gets power from the control?

Thanks for the advice Stu, bought a new headlight. Fiat wanted £240 but there's a few on fleabay for £100. Good quality and well worth the savings. I will drill holes in both of them now, just in case!
