merry xmas people!

just to add to my previous post,
i got it down to 10.2 the other night :D
all in the circumstances and still with 3 people in my car. still no mods done all as standard so pretty chuffed really :)

Can i be the first to ask if you are doing this on a private road?

how are you timing it,

why are you doing it with a full car?

Oh, and why the obsession with your 0-60 time?

What is this obsession??

I'm going to start a thread, "my willys bigger than yours" or "my dads harder than yours" lol

"my willys bigger than yours" - wouldn't bother with that thread, we all know I'm the biggest cock on this site :)

Ah, here's a man with a huge cock.....

If they didnt want it stripping they shouldnt of give me nuts and bolts :)

If Steve wishes to talk about his 0-60 times, then nothing says he can't, please remember that. Although we are all guilty of putting threads on a tangent, lets try and keep this one on topic. I personally have little interest in 0-60 times on the whole but regardless, its interesting to find out how it might be obtained (timing method or why its done with 3 people in the car as Buzz questioned).

Steve doesn't say where he's doing this, so with the benefit of doubt lets not cast aspersions.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not telling people how to behave or what you should type, just please consider Steve's interest and weigh up your response. No biggie.

Steve: Remember to be safe if you're doing this on the public highway :)

safety is paramount insomnia XD

and for u swines whom may cry about where i do my deeds, i do them on a public road where the speed limit is 40MPH. yes i agree i could/should get a citation but, what ya gunna do. think il wait till they come for me :) merry xmas droogs!

and for u swines whom may dwell on "this obsession", i find it very difficult to find a car that is NOT judged on a 0-60 time and i agree my time may not be very quick i find it reasonable for a standard 1.6 bravo considering the manufacturers time of 11secsonds :) merry xmas droogs!

I'd be cautious with an admission like that on a public forum. I'm not going to judge but would urge you to consider whether doing 60mph in a 40mph is acceptable behaviour. Your choice anyhow, I just hope you don't hurt anyone in the process.

As for cars being judged on 0-60, I've never judged my cars on that basis. Infact thinking about it, none of my mates do. Features, colour, mpg, engine, power, looks, etc play a bigger factor. There's more to a car than its 0-60 ability. Horses for courses I guess :)

alot of cars on their specifications have a 0-60 time, thats what i meant. i dont really know anyone either who judges their car via a 0-60 time, so ur right there mate lol.

Actually just been chatting to Rach (my other half) about this and she doesn't agree on the judging of a vehicle on 0-60. Rach has a modified CBR-600 FS02 which does 3.1 seconds (standard) for 0-60 but she didn't buy it for that, it was for the ride quality, looks and power.

Out of curiosity, how old are you Steve?

she must be, shes timed it lol. i got a bravo because i think the looks are quality, nice, low and sleek. and the fact its a 1.6 is a bonus due to the fact im 17 with a new toy lol. may i add i passed my test first time and with only 1 minor.

Nope, the bike has not been timed. 3.1 seconds is the manufacturers stated time. But going back to original point, very little attention has been paid to the statistic.

1 minor on your first test doesn't make you a safe driver, just means you drove to the standard expected for that test. What happens afterwards is down to you. Experience is everything as you'll learn in time.

well 16 months on a ped helps to watch out for pricks in cars. and to stray again that is one hardcore bike lol

I was once told you learn to drive in the first 5 years of driving on your own, and from my experience thats right!

And as for riding a bike on the road, ive done it, and still do, been at it 4/5 yrs now, and it only makes you aware of cyclists when driving. you approach them as you would like to be approached.

And insy, nice bike! my mate at work has a CBR600F, duno anymore than that, but its nice :) others include a yam R6 and a buell!
