Hi folks,
I didn't know where else to post this, so here goes:
I bought a 1980 124 in a junkyard auction last year, and in the meantime, I've been rebuilding the engine, transmission, brakes, electrical etc to make it driveable. Well, I finally took it out for its maiden voyage around my neighborhood yesterday, and aside from a 4th gear that didn't cooperate, I'm ready for a VIN inspection. Since the title is lost, I have to go through the title bond / VIN inspection process. I've done a few motorcycles this way, and it was easy, but I've never done a car. So, has anyone in Colorado, USA had this done? Thanks!

My original bill of sale was not notarized. If I can contact the people who sold it to me, and get a notarized one, I can avoid the tile bond thing. If not, I will have to go title bond. Fortunately though, I may have stumbled across someone who might know the original sellers on facebook. Time will tell
