Cabin blower fan not working

Hello all!
After almost 2 weeks of search, I came to the worst conclusion: change the blower
My cabin fan stopped working out of nowhere, at any speed (1 to 4). I have checked all the fuses (in the cabin and those in the engine bay), I have checked the connection and the resistor and all is looking good (the resistor looks just a bit rusty, but nothing to interfere with the connectivity).
The only thing I could't check was the relay, as I don't know witch one is on the engine fuse box (I've read that it is red, but I have 3 and I can't find any diagram for bravo 2007 1.9 diesel).
The long thing short, I would appreciate any help on finding the relay and how to check it.

hi,
have you removed the fan, check it spins freely.. and doesn't smell burnt ?,

then give it 12 volts and check it spins

Re: Cabin blower fan not working

Hi there. It is too much work to do removing the fan, even accessing it (by the layout I've seen, I have to dismantle the dashboard to access it). And I need the car daily for work, so no time for that. BUT i have found a burnt relay, the T08 in the engine compartment. So I'm gonna buy one and change that and see if it will work.Click image for larger version

Whit this occasion I've found out that on the back of the fuse box lid you find what every fuse and relay is for. :-D

Looks like you have found the problem. The full electronic workshop manual "eLearn" is in the Forum download section. https://www.fiatforum.com/downloads....downloadid=373
thanks to @Davren. It tkes a bit of effort to decompress and make a CDROM but its worth it. The system take a bit of getting used to but it's all there.
Do you have Climate control (digital temperture selection) or just basic aircon (hot-cold knob)? The Aircon uses simple resistors to control the speed, CC has an electronic speed control.

Sorry I was thinking of Croma's not Bravo

Robert.

Thanks for the link. I hope I will make some time to start reading manuals in the near future

It is the simpler version, with the hot-cold knob. I have a thought to change the panel to Climate Control, but not yet. No time or money for that.

Re: Cabin blower fan not working

I have finally changed the damaged relay and the blower works again. Success! :-)
Now I'm waiting for the light bulbs so I can replace the ones on the heater controls...

Re: Cabin blower fan not working

The relay is in the engine bay fuse box, the red one on the top (circled in the picture from previous post).
And yes, the climate will take a lot of time and patience... :-)
