Rather than being model specific I thought I'd reach out to anyone who has owned a fiat with the 70hp variant of the mjet engine.
got an issue, when cold there is a really bad engine rattle whilst moving off, this happens until the engine temp gauge to around 2/3 of the way up
It also only happens when driving steady, if i drive with a heavy right foot it does not happen.
the noise is a brief but loud rattle 'rrrrrrrrrr' lasting a few seconds at around 1200 rpm.
from what i can gather its most likely a combustion rattle from the derv timing, but i dont think its right.
otherwise the engine is perfect, great on fuel and otherwise very good.
any others got anythin to add or offer ?
